House Democrat says Obama should keep Bush intelligence chiefs

Uh, no.

“We don’t want to be known for torturing people. At the same time we don’t want to limit our ability to get information that’s vital and critical to our national security,” he added. “That’s where the new administration is going to have to decide what those parameters are, what those limitations are.”

This house Democrat, Silvestre Reyes, joins an indistinguished list of Democrats that seem to be a little wishy-washy when it comes to items of constitutionality, and basic human rights.

He is also arguing for Obama keeping on the very people involved with devising and carrying out the “non-torture” torture policy that the CIA has been carrying out through rendition to other countries that do torture, and the institutionalized torture in Guantanamo.

Feinstein has also been equivocating on the torture issue, and Pelosi and Hoyer shepherded through the undermining of the constitution on the illegal and unconstitutional wiretapping as well as retroactive immunity for the telecom companies (another unconstitutional law).

It’s time for them all to go.

Torture is not an option. Ever.

Our congress must start supporting the constitution and international law, or they must go.
